ANicki Minaj is back on Twitter and lashing out at the New York Post for suggesting her decision to quit the microblogging site earlier this month was due to blowback over disparaging comments she had made about her father.
The rapper shut down her Twitter page after a fansite leaked a new track
online, and she recently added that “a voice in my head” told her to delete the
page.
But the New York Daily News claims the real motive behind her Twitter exit
was due to her recent “Nightline” interview, in which she confessed she “wanted
to kill” her abusive dad Omar Miraj when she was a child.
Minaj returned to Twitter this week and today fired off a series of tweets
against the Daily News, branded the allegations “lies.”
One tweet read: “Ha! The Daily News said I deleted my twitter after being
criticized 4 saying I want2 kill my father (sic)!? How can u just print lies
d**k heads?!
Another stated: “Barbz (fans), Now we know that when we read something out
of the Daily News, it was pulled out of someone’s A**E.”
During the “Nightline” interview, Minaj went into detail about the troubles
her father’s drug and alcohol addiction caused the family and recalled him
threatening to kill her mother, Nina.
